London 982 - Climate, Climate Change and the Impact of Climate Change on Great Britain

6 NS
Second Semester. Earth’s climate was warmer during the last 50 years than during any other comparable period in the last millennium; most climate scientists infer that elevated greenhouse gas concentrations have caused this warming. This course will study Earth’s climate system, examine what factors cause climate change, and assess past climate and predictions of future climate change. Through field trips and a research project, students will examine observed and predicted effects of climate change in Britain.
