HIST 332 - The Radical Challenge 3 SS, WR
Second Semester. Throughout the American 20
th century, radical movements have blossomed, flowered, and faded. From the foundation of the International Workers of the World (1905) to the Battle of Seattle (1999), these movements challenged established hierarchies of class, race, gender, sexuality, and nation. This course is particularly interested in how radicals reconceived these categories and understood interrelationships between them. It is also interested in the relationship between culture and radicalism, broadly defined.
