PHIL 123 - Subjectivity and Reality First Semester. This course is an introduction to philosophical thinking about objectivity concerning values and factual knowledge. Many reflective people worry that there may not be determinants of goodness, rightness, truth, and knowledge that are independent of what people believe or of social convention. In this course we will examine issues of objectivity-relativism-subjectivity concerning values and what makes life good, concerning moral standards and principles of justice, and concerning non-evaluative facts and knowledge of facts.
