The Global Health Program at Oberlin College approaches health, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), as complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity; it situates health as the human experience of our bodies as they exist, function, and malfunction in a complex ecosystem of social, cultural, and economic contexts.
