Policy Changes / Clarifications

• Academic Standing GPA Update:
  For Bachelor of Music and Double Degree students admitted fall 2022 and later, a minimum GPA of 2.00 is required.
• Grading for Audits
  An unsuccessful audit results in a grade of No Entry (NE). If a student receives an NE, the audited course and the grade will not appear on the official transcript, but they will remain on the unofficial transcript for the purposes of advising.

Updates to Department Names

• The Geology Department is now the Geosciences Department  
• The Rhetoric and Composition Department is now the Writing and Communication Department

Areas of Study No Longer Offered

Effective fall 2022, students will no longer be able to declare these programs. Students who declared these programs prior to fall 2022 may complete them.

  • Students may instead pursue a geosciences major .

  • Students may instead pursue a geosciences minor .
• Rhetoric and Composition Minor
  • Students may instead pursue a writing and communication minor .

  • ARTS courses numbered less than 100 are now ARST courses
