Russian Minor

The minor consists of a minimum of 5 full courses (or the equivalent).

Note: Students must earn minimum grades of C- or P for all courses that apply toward the minor.

Summary of Requirements

At least two courses that apply to the minor must be above the 100-level.
Students who come to Oberlin with prior knowledge of the Russian language still need to take five courses to complete the minor. The additional course(s) can be Russian language or literature and culture courses.
REEE 411 and REEE 446 may be repeated for credit if the topic changes.
Normally, private reading courses do not apply to the minor.

A maximum of two full courses (eight credits) may be transferred toward the minor.
