- An ad hoc recital may take the place of the departmental recital.
Declaring the Minor
- The minor is open to all students earning a Bachelor of Music degree.
- The student must be recommended by their private study teacher.
- The student must be approved by the organ department, after at least two semesters of secondary study.
Detailed Minor Requirements
Performance: Organ Minor Non-Course Requirements
First Minor Committee Examination
- Administered after two semesters of secondary private study.
- Consists of the preparation of a hymn and the performance of a standard piece of organ repertoire; the repertoire performance may be presented in a studio class or departmental recital.
Second Minor Committee Examination
- Administered after four semesters of secondary private study.
- Consists of the preparation of a hymn and the performance of a standard piece of organ repertoire; the repertoire performance may be presented in a studio class or departmental recital.
