Artist Diploma in Performance: Viola Concentration

The performance major: viola concentration consists of a minimum of 40 credits, a committee examination requirement, and a performance requirement.
Note: No credit with a grade of B- or lower may be counted toward the requirements of the artist diploma.

Summary of Requirements
Course Requirements Non-Course Requirements Note(s) on Requirements
- Artist Diploma students may not register for course work in addition to those courses listed above without permission from the Office of the Associate Deans of the Conservatory. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 for non-native English-speaking students may be required for enrollment in additional courses.
- For APST 600 , students are assigned by the principal private study teacher to various performing groups in consultation with the conductors or supervisors of these groups.
- Note: Artist Diploma students studying orchestral instruments must participate in the large ensemble program (Oberlin Orchestra, Oberlin Chamber Orchestra, Oberlin Sinfonietta, Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble) every semester in residence as assigned.
