GEOS 123 - Geology of Natural ResourcesFC NSMA 4 credits From our gas tanks to our jewelry, iPhones to sidewalks, wind turbines to bicycles, all of us use non-renewable resources from our planet on a daily basis. This course will provide an overview of where these resources come from, how they are concentrated by our planet, how we extract and refine them, and how we estimate how much is left. We will explore these issues as well as the environmental and societal impacts of resource extraction through group discussions, papers and presentations. Sustainability
