ECON 253 - Intermediate MicroeconomicsFC SSCI QFR 4 credits An introduction to the art of building mathematical models of the behavior of individual economic agents. Topics include models of consumers, producers, their interaction with each other in different market forms and strategic situations, and the welfare implications of economic outcomes in the presence and absence of markets. Prerequisites & Notes: ECON 101 and sophomore standing or a 200-Level course in economics and MATH 133. Proficiency in calculus at the level of Math 133 is essential.
