PSYC 218 - Social PsychologyFC SSCI 4 credits This course surveys major theories and research traditions in social psychology. Topics covered will include: interpersonal attraction, stereotyping, prejudice, discrimination, and helping behavior with a particular focus on understanding police violence and sustainable behavior. Assignments are designed to encourage students to apply the ideas of social psychology to their own and others’ behavior. Research methodologies in social psychology will also be covered. Prerequisites & Notes: PSYC 100, COGS 101 or NSCI 201
