ARST 230 - Intermediate Moldmaking & CastingFC ARHU 4 credits Moldmaking and casting will form the locus of this technique-heavy course. Students will obtain the skills necessary to create a blanket mold, and a 2-part mold amoung others. Casting techniques, using a variety of material will be covered. Additionally, students will learn how to finish their casts using several patina methods. Students are responsible for a series of final projects, one research presentation, and participation in a select number of the Art Department’s Artist’s Lecture Series. Field trips required. Prerequisites & Notes: An introductory 3D course is required
