ARST 213 - Intermediate Drawing Practice in/over TimeFC ARHU 4 credits How does an artist remain capable of response in times of chronic crises and continual change? In this course, students will work in a variety of mediums to explore drawing as a practice that is sustained in and over time. We’ll explore how artists engage ritual, prompt, embodied practice, and experiment in response to their lived conditions and artistic visions. Students will develop an overarching drawing project that builds and changes throughout the semester. Course participants will also engage in readings, discussion, critique, and presentations. Students are expected to develop projects and research outside of class time. Field trips required. Prerequisites & Notes: Prerequisites: Any introductory course in studio art.
