POLT 332 - Global MarxismsFC SSCI WADV 4 credits
This course explores the dazzling global trajectory of Marxism, focusing especially on the conceptual and political tensions that emerged from the uptake of this body of thought in markedly varied contexts around the world. The course begins with primary texts by Marx, Engels, and Lenin and then explores the receptions of Marxism by thinkers such as Ho Chi Minh, Jose Carlos Mariátegui, Frantz Fanon, Claudia Jones, and Mao Zedong.
