PSYC 304 - Advanced Methods in Adolescent Development
FCNSMAQFRWADV4 credits This course is designed to give students a fuller understanding of adolescent development and the research process. The course is heavily project based and focuses on learning advanced techniques such as hierarchical linear modeling. The course emphasizes close reading of the primary literature, documentation of the research process, scientific writing and presentation skills, accurate quantitative representation of conceptual models, and working together in teams with complimentary skill sets. The course will review skills in SPSS and introduce R.
Prerequisites: (PSYC 204 or PSYC 216 or PSYC 217) and PSYC 300.Undergraduate Research Intensive
