In this course, we will explore the various ways in which Nature can partially or wholly revoke this consent. Emphasis will be placed on the geologic origin of volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunami, as well as their impacts on society and our attempts to mitigate their effects.

This course is appropriate for new students.
