FCSSCI4 credits This course brings lessons on business through doing. Students work in teams to solve real-world problems alongside their problem sponsors. Pedagogy of the class emphasizes feedback over instruction–lecture and content are intentionally light, providing the bulk of studio time for teams to work, pitch solutions, process feedback, and pivot. Students learn how to sharpen problem statements; test their hypotheses using data, interviews, and market testing; and build solutions from minimally viable concepts to nuanced solutions. Authentic feedback from instructors and problem sponsors both guides learning and develops capabilities for building things that work.
Prerequisites: BUSI 103 and at least one 200 level BUSI course.
