FCARHUPRAX4 credits This advanced hands-on workshop focuses on the craft of motion picture cinematography and will provide students with a professional level of understanding of how desired aesthetics are achieved through cinematography for a variety of film genres and styles. We will explore the use of cameras, lighting, composition, lens choices, color and camera movement to better understand cinematography as a storytelling device. We will cover the responsibilities of a Director of Photography and of all other crew positions in the camera and lighting departments and will learn how to work on a film crew, set up and operate a cinema camera, and use lighting and grip equipment. This class is designed for students serious about pursuing a career in film production.
