ARST 831 - Introduction to Fibers

This course explores the technical, historical and conceptual dimensions of fiber as an expansive art medium. Students will explore a range of skill-based techniques such as felting, dimensional weaving, surface manipulations, natural dyes and more. Related readings and research will deepen the exploration of themes, adding depth and context to the hands-on processes and development of work.
