FCARHU4 credits This course explores natural fibers from raw material to finished form, focusing on the harvesting, processing, and artistic manipulation of wool, flax, and plant-based dyes. Students will experiment with looped, woven, and non-woven structures while engaging with concepts of sustainable design, ecological approaches to art-making and historical significance of fiber as a medium in the context of art. Through hands-on practice and critical discussion, this course bridges traditional techniques with contemporary art perspectives.
