LEAD 160 - Career Exploration and Development FundamentalsCC 1 Credit Through self-reflection tools, experiential activities, and practical skill-building, students will learn how to align their academic experience with career aspirations. Topics will include career development theories, strengths identification, resume and cover letter writing, interviewing, networking, professional communication, career conversations, and integrating AI and digital tools into career planning. Weekly sessions combine lectures, case studies, interactive workshops, group exercises, and reflective discussions. Students will develop a personalized Career Action Plan (CAP), build professional competency, and strengthen confidence in navigating career opportunities. CED Executive Director, together with the CED staff, will serve as course instructors, using inclusive teaching and cross-departmental collaboration.
