GSFS 407 - Black Feminism and DecolonizationFC SSCI CD 4 credits In this course, we will travel with anthropologist and civil rights activist Eslanda Robeson to explore anti-colonial movements around the world. The first half of this course will focus on understanding the perspective of Eslanda Roberson and analyzing the historical significance of the anti-colonial discourse she encounters through her travels. The second half of this course will focus on the context for the decolonial movements in London, Ghana, and South Africa, including the perspectives of local activists and leaders, and what kind of nation they built in the wake of their independence. This course is reserved for juniors and seniors.
