LEAD 178 - Pathways in Pre-HealthCC 2 credits This course helps students explore healthcare career pathways-medicine, physical therapy, public health, and more-through reflection and practical preparation. Participants will learn about academic requirements, application processes, exams, shadowing, and soft-skill development while shaping personal narratives essential to healthcare professions. The course also examines healthcare systems, equity, and global health perspectives. Activities include readings, documentaries, and conversations with peers, alumni, and professionals. Designed especially for first-year students but open to all, this experience introduces diverse careers in the helping professions, from clinical practice to administration, policy, and advocacy.
