A minor in Latin can be combined with any major or other minor within the framework of the student’s degree. In the case a student majors in classical civilization or Greek language and literature as well as minors in Latin, there are the following stipulations:

  • the student completes at least two courses at the 200-level or higher in the language sequence;
  • language courses taken may count only once (toward either the language minor or the major); and
  • the minor elective courses taken may not also be counted toward the major.

Transfer of Credit Toward the Minor

AP/IB transfer credit received for LATN 600 does not count toward the Latin minor.
