Courses offered by the German department taught in English count toward the German minor.
Private reading courses do not normally count toward the minor.
Transfer of Credit Toward the Minor
Students transferring credits in German from courses taken at other institutions may apply a maximum of two courses toward the minor with the approval of the department chair. At least three courses must be completed at Oberlin.
Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Credit
AP/IB transfer credit received for GERM 300 may count toward the German minor.
