Private Study Committee Examinations

First Major Committee

The examining committee for the first major committee examination is composed of the principal private study teacher and the jazz studies faculty.
The content of the committee examination will be determined by the appropriate applied and jazz studies faculty members.

Second Major Committee

The examining committee for the second major committee examination is composed of the principal private study teacher and the jazz studies faculty.

Student-formed small ensembles perform each week for one another and offer critical, constructive feedback. The events are open to the public, and attendance is required of all jazz composition and jazz performance majors.
