FCARHUCD4 credits Learn to read ancient Greek! Greek is the language of Homer, Socrates, Alexander the Great, and the writers of the New Testament. In the first semester, we cover roughly two-thirds of basic Greek grammar, reading ancient Greek passages from day one. By the end of the semester, students will fully understand the Greek syntactical system, and will be reading passages adapted from the fifth-century BCE historians Herodotus and Thucydides.
