RUSS 305 - Advanced Russian I: Reading Across DisciplinesFC ARHU CD 4 credits This course is designed to push students’ reading skills to a higher level while also developing overall language proficiency. Intensive practice reading a wide range of authentic Russian texts from different disciplines and genres (including literature, history, politics, and journalism as well as literary, film, and music criticism). Emphasis on mastering advanced grammatical constructions such as participles and subordinating conjunctions and expanding vocabulary to develop greater reading fluency. Students will undertake final reading projects according to their individual interests. Taught in Russian.
Prerequisites: RUSS 204. This course is appropriate for new students based on placement exam.
