JAPN 101 - Elementary Japanese I

First-year Japanese. An introduction to basic grammar, sentence patterns, and vocabulary of the modern language. Attention to the written component of modern Japanese will include the hiragana and katakana syllabaries, as well as kanji. This course is designed for students with no previous knowledge of Japanese; see instructor for correct placement.

This course is appropriate for new students.
