ECON 253 - Intermediate MicroeconomicsFC SSCI QFR 4 credits An introduction to the art of building mathematical models of the behavior of individual economic agents. Topics include models of consumers, producers, their interaction with each other in different market forms and strategic situations, and the welfare implications of economic outcomes in the presence and absence of markets. Proficiency in calculus at the level of MATH 133 is essential.
Prerequisites: ((ECON 101 and sophomore standing) OR (one 200-level course in ECON)) and MATH 133.
