SOCI 110 - Introduction to Sociology: Social Structure, Inequality, and Behavior
FCSSCI4 credits This course will provide you with a way to think about and understand the social world and your place within it. We will examine theoretical concepts and methodologies with a wide variety of classic and contemporary empirical studies. This course addresses questions such as: How do we know which direction to face in an elevator? What are the causes and consequences of social inequality? How do some behaviors become designated ‘deviant’ and others ‘normal’?
