CSCI 150 - Introduction to Computer ScienceFC NSMA QFR 4 credits Introduction to algorithmic thinking and problem solving by way of computer programming. The course covers fundamentals of computer programming including data types, variables, expressions, statements, control structures, arrays, and recursion. It also introduces object-oriented concepts including classes, methods, inheritance, and polymorphism. Labs highlight applications in graphics, music, mathematics, biology, and physics. No programming experience required. Students who have already passed CSCI 151 may not register for CSCI 150.
Prerequisites: If students have already passed CSCI 151 they may not register for CSCI 150 This course is appropriate for new students.
