FCSSCI4 credits This course will give consideration to select topics in the psychological literature on gender and its intersectionality with race, ethnicity, class, age, and social context. We will draw from multiple subfields of psychology (e.g., social, developmental, cultural) but also emphasize an interdisciplinary perspective by making connections to other related disciplines (e.g., sociology, gender and feminist studies, anthropology). Goals of this course include reflecting upon one’s own positionality and understanding complex gendered behavior in cultural context.
