The course covers a range of 20th- and 21st-century musical techniques. Students will learn to recognize a variety of post-tonal pitch structures and processes through listening, analysis, model composition, and writing.

Prerequisites: MUTH 132 and ESOL 120 (for students in ESOL sequence).
