WRCM 130 - Introduction to Communication and Media Studies

This survey course orients students to the scholarly study of Communication and Media Studies. Students will develop an introductory working knowledge of concepts, models, and theories with an aim to learn tools necessary to think critically about communication processes and practices within media. There will be a general examination of how communication and media studies emerged and how the field relates to issues of social and cultural change.

This course is appropriate for new students.
