FCARHUCDWINT4 credits This course centers on elements of storytelling such as perspective and intention in the construction of historical knowledge. It reexamines the histories of diaspora lands from the perspective of a frequently marginalized minority group, utilizing both primary and secondary source materials. We will examine how narratives are conveyed through multiple types of media such as poetry, music, theater, and the visual arts. Classes are discussion-based and prioritize critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.
