The linguistics minor is open to any student regardless of major. Courses include training in the deductive techniques that linguists use to determine the structures underlying natural language systems. A minor in linguistics enables students to apply these principles to learning or analyzing any human language, making this area of study broadly relevant to all students engaged in the study of any modern or classical language.
