Russian Minor

The minor consists of a minimum of 5 full courses (or the equivalent).

Note: Students must earn minimum grades of C- or P for all courses that apply toward the minor.

Summary of Requirements

Two Full Russian Language Courses
Two Russian and Russophone Literature and Culture Courses
One Russian Minor Elective Course

Note(s) on Requirements

At least two courses that apply to the minor must be above the 100-level.
Students who come to Oberlin with prior knowledge of the Russian language still need to take five courses to complete the minor. The additional course(s) can be Russian language or Russian and Russophone literature and culture courses.
REEE 446 and RUSS 411 may be repeated for credit if the topic changes.
Normally, private reading courses do not apply to the minor.

Transfer of Credit Toward the Minor

A minimum of three courses toward the minor must be taken at Oberlin.
